Smartphone Technology and the Church

Most of the apps present in the Church either rest silently on phones and app stores due to under-utilization, or they are useless. Hundreds of poor-quality apps that exemplify the definition of redundancy, yet created in the name of Jesus, reside in app stores.



Any parish can have an app, but that doesn’t mean they should – especially if they are not actually going to use it. Four things to remember when considering an app for your parish.
