The Catholic Church is to be a community of disciples, both intentional and aware of what it means to bear the title of disciple. What is the effect of having a discipleship focus in a parish? How does a parish call people to accountability in their faith? We’ll discuss the emphasis of a discipleship culture in the current Church and how it’s already bearing great fruit.

Julianne Stanz is the Director of Parish Life and Evangelization for the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis, and the author of three books published by Loyola Press, the latest called “Start with Jesus: How everyday disciples will renew the Church.” She lives in a small town on Lake Michigan and has three children.
